Sungei Wang Lantern Fun Park

My children and I were at Sungei Wang for their Mid-Autumn Festival Light Up Ceremony, it was a blast from the past showcasing the glamour of the 1970s era. You can see the beautiful decorations from now till 4 October 2017. Sungei Wang is also celebrating their 40th anniversary.

In early 1970s, BB Park was the entertainment hub with singing stage, fun fair and theatre, it is the place for fun games and glamour shows. This Mid-Autumn, Sungei Wang reminisces the BB Park glamour era by transforming the mall back to 1970s. Walking through the Sungei Wang Walk, shoppers can soak into the festive mood with glittering lightbulbs and lanterns. A giant gramophone sits facing Jalan Sultan Ismail together with the signature Sungei Wang Lantern Fun Park arch to greet the shoppers. As you step into the Centre Court, a two-level theatre backed with a gigantic ferris wheel set as main stage where the launch, performances and activities are to take place.

“We wanted to showcase the glitz and glamour as well as reminisce the glorious BB Park, which was the identity of this area before Sungei Wang was built. The story of this place and era will be told via the Sungei Wang Lantern Fun Park Mid-Autumn Musical happening on the 16, 17, 22 and 23 September 2017. Ostricare Tasties Pieces Are Healthy Milk Candy

Children love to eat sweet candies. Sometimes these candies are not healthy. If you want to give your children something sweet, you can give them Ostricare Tasties Pieces. These are Halal milk candy from Taiwan and are nutritious because it has vitamin A, calcium and probiotics. Children need more calcium for healthy bones and teeth. Probiotics help them to have better digestion, better gut so they will not have constipation.

Ostricare milk candy comes in 5 flavors - original, yogurt, strawberry, blueberry and chocolate. Each packet weighs 24g and has 30 pieces. The packet can be zipped and sealed to retain its freshness. My children love the original, strawberry and blueberry flavors the most.

Ostricare Tasties Pieces are in the cute cow shapes and makes it really attractive for kids to eat. These milk candies contain glucose, whole milk powder, full cream goat milk powder, whey protein, oligofructose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, lactobacillus acidophilus, and the different types of flavor powders according to their flavors.

You can purchase these Ostricare Tasties Pieces from Baby DashBaby Land or Shopee. For more information, you can visit Ostricare Facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/ostricaremalaysia/

Get Your Wetzel's Pretzels Through The Kiple App To Save More Money

Wetzel's Pretzels 1st store started in 1994 in Southern California and since then has many franchised stores all over the world. Wetzel's Pretzels are freshly baked from scratch everyday. From the menu, you can see there are many different types of toppings you can choose from for your pretzels.

My children and I were at Wetzel's Pretzels, The Curve last Saturday morning to taste the various types of hand-made pretzels with sprinkles, Wetzel Franks and to even try out making our own pretzels from their dough. We had a lot of fun and it was our first time we learnt to make pretzels.

Here is the menu showing the different types of pretzels with different toppings, sprinkles and beverages offered. Wetzel's Pretzels are very soft and delicious when they are eaten warm. The best seller toppings is their sour cream & onion.

From left to right : Premium Pretzels Sinful Cinnamon and Meaty Cheese Pretzel Pepperoni Twist

From left to right : Superior Pretzel Garlic Butter Cheese and Original Pretzel

Wetzel Chicken Cheese Franks

Clock wise from top left : Pretzels with Condensed Milk+Milo, Honey+Sunflower Seed, Chocolate+Roasted Nuts, Sour Cream & Onion, Original, Cinnamon Sugar.

Fresh Lemonade and Ice Lemon Tea drinks are very cool, refreshing and quenches my thirst.

We had our hands-on experience making our own pretzels. It's not easy but after trying it twice, I managed to twist my own pretzel. My children were given less dough to make smaller pretzels. First we rolled the dough long, then lift the two ends and use one hand to twist the dough. Then we need to turn it over and push the ends of the dough so that they stick together. Put it in the oven for 5 minutes and the freshly baked pretzels are ready to eat. If you love more flavours, just add your favorite toppings on top.

This is the pretzel I made. It has honey toppings and marshmallows sprinkles.

If you love to eat pretzels and want discounts, download Kiple app. This app lets you save when you spend. You can get 10% rebate for every transaction and payment is secure and safe.

Thanks to Wetzel's Pretzels and Kiple for having us there to taste the pretzels and learnt to make our own pretzels. We loved every bite of the pretzels.

Ten children have been given their first taste of life in the corporate world, being offered a position on a “council”. These ten, aged between seven and 12, have been appointed as Wildlife Heroes, complete with a “salary” of RM8,000 by Sunway Theme Parks (STP), in a unique and unprecedented initiative to showcase the educational and wildlife offerings in two of the corporation’s properties – Sunway Lagoon (SL) and Sunway Lost World Of Tambun (SLWOT).
The 10 finalists are Ahmad Iszuddin Ahmad Izham, 11; Alexandria Ng, 9; Alyssa Warren, 10; Anna Huggel, 12; Cahaya Rain Thomas, 10; Medina Zahara Onn, 10; Ng Zhang Hui, 10; Nickhil Aaron, 11; Owen Lim, 12 and Shernyn Tay, 12.

The kids answered the call of the wild to send in their applications and beat out hundreds of others across Malaysia for the stint and a position on the council, to monitor and advise on matters relating SLWOT’s Petting Zoo and SL’s Wildlife Park as well as learn about how the “residents” of these locations are cared for and looked after.
The ten newly-appointed Wildlife Heroes attended their very first council meeting at SLWOT. Throughout the 3 days, the junior Wildlife Heroes developed several skills from camping outdoors to pitching tents, water safety and confidence workshop, building a raft, and embarking on a night trekking exploration at the mysterious and historic Gua Datuk.
Their educational journey continued as they traversed through the 6th Mile Tunnel admiring the stalactite formations in mud and water whilst studying the great outdoors. Then, they were brought on an interactive tour and the Animal Centre, before proceeding to the Lost World Night Petting Zoo tour.
The kids will hold this position for an entire year with various responsibilities including convening for quarterly meetings where they will get to experience and learn many facets of wildlife conservation, while deliberating ways by which the offerings and the running of the Petting Zoo and Wildlife Park can be further improved. Following each meeting, they will also earn a patch to be attached onto their uniform.
During the second council meeting, the most promising council member will be appointed as the Chief to lead the council and receive a further incentive of RM4,000 after the completion of the year-long programme, in addition to the RM8,000 which will be received by each of the Wildlife Hero.

“Children today are more discerning and astute than ever before,” says Calvin Ho, Senior General Manager of Sunway Theme Parks. “As such, we came up with this programme to not only showcase our wildlife offerings in Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Lost World Of Tambun, but also show that both destinations are more than just theme parks and also a conducive learning environments. This programme is proof that you’re never too young, and we take their participation seriously. In my opinion, the experiences they will go through is priceless,” he added.
Sunway Lost World Of Tambun’s Petting Zoo features a large variety of exotic animals in an environment created as close to nature as possible. Visitors are allowed to see, feel, feed and play with the many diverse species of animals that roam within painstakingly curated enclosures. The Petting Zoo also brings a little bit of Africa home, with safari animals such as giraffes, zebras and ostriches roaming freely in their natural setting. The action and adventure continue after dark at SLWOT’s Ultimate Night Park.

On the other hand, the Wildlife Park at Sunway Lagoon is an interactive and educational zoo featuring exotic, small, and friendly animals from a range of birds, reptiles, and mammals – home to more than 150 species from all around the world. In addition to the extensive list of animals which are found within the Wildlife Park is the lush green space filled with unique attractions and learning areas.
